Campanula Design founder and creative director is Melissa Mercado-Denke. Melissa started her career in floral design as the Operations Manager for a retail flower shop in Seattle, despite having a degree in accounting and business administration. Melissa learned to truly appreciate the significance of the simplest acts of love and gratitude when working with clients and expressing their feelings through flowers over the course of her career. A mood can be changed by a single perfect bloom, small present, or brief note. Melissa founded Campanula Design in 2019 with a passion for event planning and hosting celebrations, an eye for design, and the desire to bring people together in meaningful ways. All of their signature wooden baskets are handcrafted by Alan Denke, their resident basket czar. In addition, he serves as their IT specialist, a part-time delivery driver, and coffee supplier. He and Melissa, who have been together for more than two decades, have three children and two dogs.
