The Quilted Cow opened in 2010 in the small lakeside village of Cape Fair in the Ozark Mountains, just outside of Branson, Missouri. When they first opened, they were sort of a clubhouse where friends could meet and sew in a warm environment. They realized that by offering a wider range of products and services, including an extensive selection of high-quality fabrics, they could better meet the creative needs of quilters traveling the back roads of the area on their way to Branson. They have since relocated The Quilted Cow to a new location with a 3, 000-square-foot retail space that is closer to Branson and Silver Dollar City.
