Strength Asylum was originally created in 2010 in a small backstory warehouse in Longton-on-Stoke-Trent. A small but well-equipped private 700 square foot gym. In 2012, they decided to open to the public, which meant moving to a larger unit, but the budget was tight, so they decided on a 2,500-square-foot unit in Burslem Back Street, Stoke-on-Trent . The location of Strength Asylum was not good and parking was limited. They were suspicious, but they started moving in. In May 2012, just before they were about to open, they discovered a new location outside Hanley city centre. This is a perfect location with a huge parking lot which is twice the size of the original. They had more rooms than needed, but didn't have enough equipment to fill the room, so they divided the unit into two parts, half of the gym and half of the cycle training.
