Sojo A downtown community in Washington DC, south of the Columbia Highlands. The community started at Trinity Evangelical Theological School in Deerfield, Illinois, and in the early 1970s, some students began to meet to discuss the relationship between their beliefs and political issues, especially the Vietnam War. In the fall of 1975, this fledgling community moved to Washington, D.C., and the community and magazine were named sojourners.
