Silversun Pickups is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, founded in 2000. The band is made up of Brian Obert, Nikki Moninger, Christopher Guillau and Joe Lester. The band released its first EP Pikul, in May 2005 and its debut album Carnavas on May 26, 2006. The band's third album, Neck of the Woods, was released on May 8, 2012. On May 25, 2015, they released their fourth album, Better Nature. The members of the Silversun pickup are all friends who used to play together. Silversun Pickups began their careers at clubs in Los Angeles, most often in the Silver Lake lounge or nearby space, and began to attract a strong follower to launch Pikul EP. The band originated in the home of Rilo Kiley, Los Angeles.
