PCC Store was originally founded with two goals: to make excellent artisanal bread from local grains, following a long tradition, and to achieve this in a therapeutic work environment to support their "contributors": those with intellectual and developmental differences colleagues, and volunteers. They have long-established traditional nutritious loaves of bread; made from heritage and ancient grains grown on local farms, freshly ground on-site, and naturally fermented. Together, they share the transformative experience of doing meaningful work and mastering a craft. Since PCC Store's founding, they have added two more artisanal businesses led by equally inspired makers, always with their shared human mission at their core.
