His son-in-law and now JAV winemaker Jim Ballard planted the idea of planting several vines in his mind. Soon, the first 100 vines became a reality. Manually grown, three different varieties were purchased from a nursery in upstate New York. As the number of vines grows, so does the idea of turning this family's hobby into a real business.
