Dette Flies, which was founded in 1928 and is currently in its 94th year, is the oldest family-owned fly business in the world. Their goal has always been and will always be to offer the best goods and services to the fly-fishing community. Each fly they sell has either been tied by them in-house or by a few carefully chosen domestic tiers. To celebrate 90 years in business, they moved into a bigger building in Livingston Manor in the spring of 2018. Dette Flies aim was to create a pleasant environment where they could showcase their always-expanding inventory of flies, fly-tying supplies, and fly-fishing equipment. Their inventory exclusively consists of goods that live up to their strict requirements for high standards of quality. Their private residence is the Roscoe shop, which is currently closed.
