In the middle of the 1800s, the Henry Farm had an orchard with apple and pears, sheep, cattle, and grains on more than 500 acres. The farm was in operation for almost 150 years before it was divided into separate tracts and sold to Marc and Elaine Bradley, Henry's great-great-grandson and his wife, to serve as a conservation facility for their collection of endangered and rare animals from all over the world. Creation Kingdom Zoo goal was to make the breeding and conservation facility into an immersive zoo where visitors could get close enough to the animals to interact with them. Visitors and animals would bond through this interaction, which would also bridge the gap between people and nature. As Creation Kingdom Zoo, the private collection of rare animals was made available to the general public for the first full season in 2010.
