Beck Institute was started by Dr. Aaron T. Beck in the 1960s when he was a psychiatrist at the University of Pennsylvania. After learning and practicing psychoanalysis, Dr. Baker designed and implemented several experiments at Beck Institute to test the psychoanalytic concepts of depression.
