BC Eco Seed Co-op is a producers' cooperative that cultivates and supplies 100% BC-grown vegetable, herb, flower, and grain seed that is ecologically grown, certified organic, open-pollinated, regionally selected, and free of genetically engineered organisms. Their members cultivate all of their seeds on farms located throughout the province. The BC Eco Seed Co-op is a producers' cooperative made up of more than twenty farmers who provide ecological, organic, and grown in BC seeds that are grown on their farms all over British Columbia. The BC eco Seed Co-op has seeds for growers of all sizes, in packet or bulk quantities. Only British Columbia-certified organic seeds are available at this time. Seed sovereignty is an essential component of bioregional and global food systems that are sustainable, and they work hard to educate and demonstrate this. As farmers, they see a cooperative as a powerful model for working together to: Support ongoing educational opportunities to better produce seed in the quantities farmers require and at a quality they can trust by pooling resources and infrastructure for seed cleaning and marketing.
