Artsonia founded in 2000. It was inspired by a casual chat with Kishore, one of its co- founders. In the first 12 months of its existence, they received more than 25000 works of art from the school. In 2001, in order to get money to keep the company running, they bought a hot press and learned how to make customized products with children's works. In 2006, a million works of art were published on their website. What's more, they won the outstanding contribution award of Art Education issued by the National Art Education Association. The teachers and students here publish more than 8 million pieces of art every year; provide thousands of educational resources for art teachers; display more than 50 million pieces of art works, and provide permanent digital works collection for students; and raise more than 1 million dollars for the school's art projects every year. Their mission is to bring communities together to celebrate children's artistic expression and to become the world's largest online gallery. And Artsonia will donate 20% of all merchandise income to the school's art projects.
