Alaska Mill and Feed Beginning in 1950, Don Donatello, who came to Alaska with the army during World War II. After the war, Donatello stayed in Alaska, worked as a bleacher at home, and started a small family business. Land was requisitioned and a stucco factory was built in 1958.
